5 - A popular series/game you just can’t get into no matter how much you try?

I could never get into Final Fantasy and other JRPGs. I also don’t ~get~ DOTA.

Metal Gear Rising: REVENGEANCE has the most butt-rockingist soundtrack ever.

17 - What game do you never tell people you play?

I don’t play many games worth keeping a secret about. Closest is probably Bayonetta, but even then, it’s not something I’m ASHAMED to play.

29 - Which is more important, gameplay or story?

Gameplay. Story should serve the gameplay, I guess? Like, I really do not care about game stories, they’re almost universally shit. Dark Souls manages to do some good stuff, I guess, but Dark Souls is also all gameplay, so… yeah. Gameplay above all.

hey, just wanna say, excellent post to Phil. I'm not part of either "community", in fact I'm a long-time reader of his... but it's interesting how reading his tumblr alone made me think he was being a bully, and I've grown increasingly disgusted with his behaviour and inability to recognise it. the fact that he's once again ignored these points saddens me, frankly. I hope this is the end of it and thank you for laying it all out so I can see it all and decide that, ok, he's lost a long-time fan

Oh yes, the Fifth Doctor's characterization was defined by its subtle emotionality. Its very subtle emotionality. In fact, if you didn't know better, it's so subtle that you might not even realize it's there!
