there's something there about Lestat constantly (4 times) describing Armand in reference to Caravaggio:
sure, we get it Lestat/Anne he looks the part
as I was looking through TVL this bit caught my eye. Immediately after he's turned, this is what Lestat observes about Magnus' clothing:
in the paintings of Caravaggio.. that hung in my mother's rooms
you can take this as oh, Anne was just into Caravaggio at that time so this was a throwaway, unimportant detail
what is way more interesting is that Lestat grew up with those paintings in his house, maybe yk stared at them, analysed them, obsessed over them etc while he was hanging out with his mother, Gabrielle being Gabrielle and not paying attention to him.. and then here comes Armand and oh my god, you look like the god/Cupid in that poster I had on my wall growing up?? LMAO this is so funny I had to share
