On New Year’s Eve in Times Square, Lestat takes over the ball drop with Armand. Louis and Daniel, dragged along without knowing what’s about to happen, stare up at them in shock.

Meanwhile, Marius is enjoying a quiet, peaceful New Year’s—until he receives a phone call from Daniel telling him, “Don’t watch the ball drop.” Naturally, that only makes him curious enough to turn it on.

Unbothered by everyone else’s confusion, those brats ring in a thrilling, dazzling New Year…(I originally planned a scene where Armand bites Lestat’s neck (with Lestat smiling as he accepts it), but since it’s New Year’s Eve, I let them share a midnight kiss instead)
