My birthday Fic that took entirely too long to write due to an awful case of writer’s block. V is the recipient of a surprise birthday party by his friends. I'll be gifting short V fics (between 500-1500 words) to the first 15 people who drop a plot in my ask box. The only requirement is that you're following my blog. What few prompt exceptions I have are listed below.

Really deviant stuff. No need to bring the monster fuckers out of hiding.

Self-harm. I don't want to upset anyone. (Note that angst is fine)

Extreme kinks. I'm not kink shaming you, I'm just not... Knowledgeable.

Crossovers. I don't know enough about 99% of other series to do it.

MPreg. Not because it's gross or something, but because I'm squeamish.

Everything else is permitted. I've been combing through your blog for an answer, but my goodness you have so many DMC5 posts, I don't even know where to start looking for it. So I gotta ask here. What would have been your ideal scenario for the character V, if he didn't turn out to be the human part of Vergil? I'm curious because (while i do enjoy the story of the game) I also think V was robbed of his potential. He could have been a great stand alone character.

First, I’d like to start by sincerely apologizing for how long it took me to answer your ask. I just couldn't put my AUs and headcanons into words. It was kind of tricky, so that’s what took so much time.

See this, this is what made the question so hard to answer. Mostly because of the fact that it ties into my ongoing fic and I didn’t want to spoil anything. That being said, I decided to allocate a new part of my Tumblr to 1) answering this question and 2) making this clear to anyone who is wondering, especially if it pertains to my fic since it didn’t occur to me until you sent me this ask that that was an important thing to do.

Sorry if I have too many posts. I’ve been on Tumblr for less than two months, so I’m learning the flow of things. I think he was robbed of his potential as well. V is an amazing character who was a first in so many ways, not just for DMC. I don’t know what Capcom was thinking. It’s a shame, but at least we have fics to fill the void a little. Hopefully, Capcom will reconsider this in the future. If they can bring Vergil back from the dead, they can find a reason to do so with V.
