Eli talking to Victor while he was locked in his cell:
Save me lesbian vampires
Convincing anyone who see this to read 'the invisible life of Addie LaRue' because look at them.
Reading the fragile threads of power and it's honestly so fun because im like where's is my man Kell and then i know about him through someone else's pov and he's just like frowning and sighing and rolling his eyes or just dropping the most iconic line and im like "yep, that's my man, that's the love of my life, the myth, the legend"
(Spoiler for ADSOM)
Kell being the last person to figure out Lila was an Antari will never not be funny to me. Tieren, he could stomach. Alucard, that was rough. But I just know Holland sent him over the edge 😭 Like even the readers got here first, babe.
I'm still halfway thru the book man but I know this is real in my brain
Can’t stop smiling and kicking my feet
i feel like people completely misunderstand addie. like no, she didn't fight in a war or do something so drastically incredible with her life, she spent her time trying to leave a mark on the world - but isn't that what so many of us long to do? writing "___ was here" in concrete, posting things on social media, creating businesses that will hopefully out-live us. people seem to limit her to the bland storyline and 'pick-me-ism', and that's a valid opinion, but i disagree. life itself is not going to always be exciting. what addie does is continue to live, not just survive, ignoring the hollowness that could just as easily swallow her up. she romanticises her life, that is true, but what is wrong with that? don't we all sometimes? she is making the best of the bad cards she got dealt. she can still appreciate the art in the world, she can still enjoy the sunshine and good food and lovely music. she did not let bitterness suffocate her; she made a life out of it
