This just popped into my head bc Vecna is like way to obsessed with these two boys imho, but what do y'all think. Is he a shipper or a sinker?

Why WILL and VECNA are sides of the same coin and will have a stand-off

Will and Vecna are connected since Vecna possessed Will. Will feels his emotions, knows his thoughts.

Both are described as sensitive children. Joyce even tells Hopper that Will is different and very sensitive. Henry was described the same as well by his father Victor. The parallel is also seen in episode 9 when Henry draws the mind flayer same as Will drawed him hinting a strong connection - both draw to express themselves.

Both do not fit in. In episode 7 Vecna says that he was always misunderstood and didn‘t fit in. While Will hasn‘t said this out lood we‘ve seen through the series that he gets left behind/out. He is struggeling through the trauma of being possessed and also his sexuality which also makes him „different“ to his peers.

Will was the perfect host and continues to be so. While Vecna is using hate to power himself Will is using love while both are feeling alone.

I expect them meeting in season 5 and being confronted with their similarities with Will being the stronger one.

Honestly… season 5’s finale did nothing for me. The pacing felt rushed, the emotional beats barely landed, and somehow all the big “epic” moments just fell flat. But the only reason I even stayed invested was because Noah and Jamie were out here carrying the entire season on their backs like it was a full-time job. Every scene with Will and Henry had more tension, atmosphere, and actual storytelling than half the finale put together.

Give me a whole Will x Henry psychological gothic thriller spinoff — quiet corridors, grief, obsession, tangled memories, and those eerie, loaded conversations where you can’t tell if it’s compassion or manipulation, of course nothing sexual! The chemistry, the acting, the intensity… it was giving everything the main plot refused to. I swear, whenever they were on screen, it finally felt like Stranger Things again.

Anyway, if Netflix won’t make it, I’ll just keep living in the edits and fanfic.
