How I do my vectors (a step by step guide)
For the keyboard part, I just grabbed a photo on google and place it on top of the keyboard shape. As requested by an anon, here is a step by step guide on how I do my vector art. I just chose an easy one and you can do this in less than 30 mins :-) It’s very easy and simple to do guys I swear.
Softwares needed: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
First, choose your reference photo and open it in Adobe Illustrator
Lock the layer and create a new one. By using the pen tool, trace each item one by one and use your reference photo as your base guide.
I try to hide the original photo from time to time and sometimes don’t fill in the colors immediately or hide them first so I can see thoroughly what I’m tracing.
Open a new file in Adobe Photoshop. My usual size is 8in x 8in, 300 px. And transfer your traced vector there.
My artworks depicts the opposite of what’s really going through my head. Maybe that’s the reason why I’m so drawn to doing clean and minimalist type of aesthetic. My head is kind of messed up, a little complicated and has a lot of things going on where as my artworks tend to be more organized looking and simple. My art saves me all the time, it is my refuge. It keeps me calm and relaxed and just clears my head.
Last working day of the week.
Hustlin’ on a Friday, gotta keep going. Good morning.
I’m back to work today.
