8. Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding said indulgence
Shaula actually has two favorite activities.
The first indulgence involves her craft. While her jewelry is basically specialized syringes that fall apart after injection, she always goes out of her way to create elaborate designs for each earring, ring, bracelet, etc.
If one strikes her as being better than the usual stock she makes, Shaula will keep it and add it to a personal collection of ‘masterpieces’ she has.
She occasionally challenges herself by trying to produce a creation that is more intricate and beautiful than her last masterpiece. She might spend days working on one item until it’s just right.
Though it adds nothing to their function, Shaula takes pride in the fact that she can make her tools useful and aesthetically pleasing.

The second indulgence of hers is more of a guilty pleasure. Before arriving at Death City, Shaula quietly traveled from place to place, honing her magic and, more specifically, her mind-control.
During her journeys, Shaula heard many stories from the locales visited. The tales she was told varied from adventures at sea to slice of life fables to legends of local monsters, but they always managed to amuse her in some way.
Eventually, she developed a small hobby of collecting folklore, legends, tales, and, to her mild embarrassment, children’s stories as she traveled.
Unsurprisingly, the Brother Grimm fairy tales are among her favorites.
