Throwback to Oh Donuts! Really enjoyed stopping by there for a donut and coffee on our walks in Belfast. Margaret and I went many times, including to get coffee beans because this place does indeed serve filter coffee! Loves it. They also delivered during the pandemic, so the box of donuts there was delivered to our house to help get us through lockdown.

I didn't know it at the time, but this picture of the Banshee was taking during my last two months with her. I took a two year break from updating the Tumbler at the end of December 2022, and I look back now and see that was after the Banshee died.

A lot has changed, including a move to Manchester. I'm going back to add pictures from travels in 2023 and 2024. I'm also wanting to remember some of our routines and favorite vegan spots in Belfast. Here I'm picturing a vegan Kyiv I got a couple of times when I was on shopping duty.

We shopped at Dunnes because it was right around the corner from us. But during the years I was shopping there I was always amused by the sweatshirts with various cities and universities from the US featured on the shirts. Here are just a couple of the examples I saw.

Alas, Dunnes does not exist in Manchester! Never change Dunnes.

Vegan fast food Bare Bun: a win! Throughout August I continued to read nature books from the local library including The Outrun and a book about badgers. While walking to campus I had an incredible experience of seeing two goldfinches at eye level in the middle of a mating ritual. Spellbinding.

Trademarket had an all vegan day, so we were inspired to try it for the first ime. I really enjoyed food from Kubo and as always from Hey Chick (they just opened up a second location in Belfast too!) It was our first time trying the Pi Queen vegan pies and we give it a 10 out of 10!
