Nothing annoys me more than Harry Potter “influencers” - eg. Tessa, Cherry, Vegard
If you’re profiting off of JK Rowling’s work, getting to MEET her, having her signature tattooed on your freaking body, getting put in Fantastic Beasts, getting exclusive fucking merchandise for FREE...shut the fuck up and stop acting so holier than thou for calling out Jo.
No, I don’t agree with Jo liking transphobic tweets, but I’m annoyed that these influencers are so two faced - if WB asked them to meet Jo again to promote FB3 to their followers, they’d fucking do it in a heartbeat and gush “oh my gosh my hero” “my dreams coming true”...and yet they’re happy to tear her apart online?
So many fans would die for the chance and opportunities that these “influencers” get - but because they don’t have thousands of followers or subscribers, they’re ignored and don’t get to do it. It’s so infuriating and disheartening that people who are so willing to slam the creator are given those chances.
If they want to hate JK Rowling, they can - but they should no longer be allowed to make Potter content or to benefit from it. They should lose that right the minute they start acting like they’re better than her or other fans.
Also, we’d all do well to remember: “The world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters. We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.” No one is 100% perfect and no one is 100% evil - we are all gray morally.
