Since you brought up the anime portrayal of the Goku vs Majin Vegeta: While Vegeta does get in more hits overall(mostly in the early portion of the fight), Goku just seems to tank the blows with little to no issue. Even when Vegeta had him pinned against the rock face with the ki cuffs and was beating the shit out of him, Goku just seems more pissed than injured (especially when he returns the favor by pummeling Vegeta with the makeshift rock-gauntlets). Otherwise, they were portrayed as even throughout the rest of their fight. And I don't know why Majin Vegeta fans would be so thrilled by it since Vegeta needing an artificial boost just to break even with Goku, who was essentially humoring Vegeta and specifically not trying to kill him - unlike the latter - is nothing to brag about.
I understand your point, but the reason I had issue with it is because Goku was supposed to try not to take damge from Vegeta so that Babidi couldn't use that damage to awaken Majin Buu.
Goku stated this wont be as easy as he thought it would be once he sensed Majin Vegeta's power, but the manga still portrayed them as evenly matched.
We know that Goku became a more skilled fighter than Vegeta after their first encounter and he doesn't rely as much on brute strength as Vegeta does. It's just illogical for Goku to let himself take that many hits. It's like Toei had decided to ignore that Goku needed to try not to get hit just so they could create some form of tension to make it look like Goku might lose. You know what would've made more sense? Goku at first dodging most of Vegeta's attacks while finding openings to deliver heavy hits while Vegeta tanks every those hits. Why? Because the Majin power makes the possessed person more durable than normal like it did for Spopovich.
THAT would've add reasonable & believable tension to make us wonder how long can Goku last against an apponent who he can barely damage. It would also expound upon the manga's foreshadowing of Majin Buu being able to brush off damage.
Majin Spopovich survived a deadly physical attack.
Majin Vegeta is shown to be even more durable due to Saiyans naturally being more durable than humans.
Majin Buu is nearly indestructible.
Not saying the anime ruined that battle. Just that the tension wasn't there for me and my brother when we watched that battle. The anime has made improvements over the manga in some instances like Goku's hair flickering when he was transforming into SSJ for the first time while the manga events had less spectacle. The Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight just wasn't an improvement in my eyes.
REGARDING FANS OF VEGETA...
Believe it or not, there are plenty of Vegeta fans who love Majin Vegeta and like him beating up Goku. They don't care that he had to get a magic boost just to keep up. They just like him dominating Goku regardless of how. They see Majin Vegeta as "alpha" despite becoming a Majin being something Vegeta later deeply regretted because it got his family killed. Many Vegeta fans lack the logic you presented. They say...
Vegeta was abused by Freeza (mainly due to bad DUB) when he was just a soldier who wanted Freeza's position.
Vegeta wants to be king & cares about his ppl when he has stated and shown he doesn't care for others of his race.
Nappa was his friend despite Vegeta treatijg him like an attack dog that he gleefully killed once Nappa was of no more use.
Vegeta loved Bulma at the begining, but a love doesn't develop until years after the Cell Saga.
Bulma changed Vegeta when it was actually Future Trunks.
Goku gets handouts while Vegeta has to "work hard" when in reality Vegeta was brought back to life while evil, lived at CC free of cost, threatened Dr. Briefs to build him a gravity chamber he almost always trains in, saved by Trunks & Krillin after purposefully putting the world at stake, gets to keep his body after slaughtering hundred in the Buu Saga, is wished back to life due to Dende rewording the wish. Vegeta gets handouts more than most characters.
Most Vegeta fans don't understand the character and like lies about him so long as it paints him in a positive light and makes him look better than other characters. I like chatting with Vegeta fans who actually understand his character. But, sadly there aren't as many of those kinds of Vegeta fans in comparison to the others.
Holy fucking shit
I'm pretty sure this episode of dragon ball super gave all us vegeta fans a fucking heart attack
Something you may not know about me...
I used to be a fan of Vegeta when I was younger. Vegeta when he put aside his arrogance and fought alongside Goku to fix his mistake that got almost everyone killed. I liked that development. I often put him on my team in video games. But then I interracted with the DB fandom...
Most Vegeta fans are idiots who don't understand his character. But there are also the few super cool Vegeta fans that understand him and are NOT jackasses. Then I had to deal with the many hateful and stupid Vegeta fans. They accused me of stuff when I understood their "favorite character" more than they did.
Over the years, after witnessing the way most of Vegeta fans behaved towards me and others, I came to like Vegeta less and less because I didnt want to be associated with THEM in any way. I know ppl say don't let others ruin a character for you, and I didn't. Not fully. I still like DBS anime Vegeta. But I'm not a fool who refuses to acknowledged his flaws and how he developed. Vegeta fans just helped me appreciate other characters more. So, Vegeta isn't even one of my top 20 favorite DB characters anymore. He's probably like... 22 or something. I like Bora & Upa more than him as well as Tarble, Android 21, Kami, ect.
The lies that many Vegeta fans say to hate on other characters as well as the lies they promote to make Vegeta look better are some of the reasons I like him less. Thry behave like delusional Saiyan Saga, Freeza Saga, & Android Saga Vegeta. Believing the lies they tell then attacking anyone who shows them reality.
So yeah. Glad I know how most Vegeta fans are now. Most are a hateful bunch of delusional crybabies who deflect and divert the conversation because they dont have the brain capacity to handle intellectual conversations nor handle facts.
I used to be a big Roshi fan too, but dont get me started on Roshi fans. A lot of them are creeps & for some reason ppl try to appease to them for some reason.
Saw this on twitter...
How you gonna accuse someone of being sus when YOUR own content is all about braging about another man's fictional dick game??? 🤨
And not just one man's fictional dick game. Multiple ones. Delusion & hypocrisy wrapped into one.
So, I looked through Rule34 to see if there was any new Krillin & Android 18 art (there was like... 1 new piece) and I noticed that somebody has added the "Vegeta" tag to art that didn't originally have that tag. A lot of drawings of 18 with a guy that's supposed to be anonymous now has the "Vegeta" tag. (Mostly 18, but art of a few other DB gals now have the "Vegeta" tag too.)
There's one person that comes to mind who probably did this. A certain someone who at times does the line art & colouring of others art. A certain someone who purposefully lies about Krillin to make Vegeta look better. A certain someone who tries to make the term "Bae-teen" associated with him despite it not originating from him. You know, the one who often commissions art of 18 cheating on Krillin with Vegeta & other Saiyans while he lies about the fandom's hate for Krillin? Yup, that guy.
Seems like a certain somebody is trying to forcefully influence ppl to join him in his hatred for Krillin.
"Kriller Time!" chapter 2 was originally going to be Oolong getting cucked by Krillin... but, sorry Oolong.
NOW I'm moving Vegeta from Chapter 3 to Chapter 2! It's Vegeta's turn next!
Time for me to NTR the DB fandom.
It seems like certain fans are desperate for Vegeta to get a win so that he isn't in the same group as the Earthlings that they trash talk and ridicule constantly. Desperate display of superiority. Kinda like Vegeta. (If you're a Vege fan that doesn't bash on the humans then this doesn't apply to y'all)
Goku - defeats most major villains.
Piccolo - defeated Raditz.
Krillin - defeated Vegeta alongside Goku & Gohan (& some assistance from Yajirobe).
Gohan - defeated Cell. (& Vegeta)
Vegeta - defeated... ?
See what I mean? If Vegeta doesn't defeat the main villain of an arc, then that means his victory streak is the same as Yamcha (a character most Vegeta fans love to hate). But let's be honest... Vegeta is Yamcha 2.0 in many ways.
But, if Vegeta does ever defeat a main villain, he can join the ranks of Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, & Krillin.
Vegeta's toughest battle was not fought on screen
