महंगी हो रही कॉफी, 80% तक बढ़े सब्जियों के रेट; शोध में वजह का खुलासा

पिछले कुछ वर्षों से दुनियाभर में सब्जियों के दाम में बेतहाशा इजाफा देखने को मिल रहा है। न केवल आम इंसान, बल्कि बढ़ती महंगाई से दुनियाभर की सरकारें त्रस्त हैं। अब एक अध्ययन में खुलासा हुआ कि सब्जियों और खाद्य पदार्थों की कीमतों में अचानक बढ़ोतरी के पीछे जलवायु परिवर्तन है। बार्सिलोना सुपर कंप्यूटर सेंटर के मैक्सिमिलियन कोट्ज की अगुवाई में दुनियाभर के 18 देशों में अध्ययन किया गया। इसमें पता लगा कि जलवायु परिवर्तन की वजह से मौसम की चरम घटनाएं काफी तेजी से बढ़ रही हैं। जैसे अचानक बादल फटना, भीषण गर्मी, एकदम से बाढ़ का आना, रेगिस्तान में बरसात और गर्म इलाकों में बर्फबारी चरम मौसम में आती हैं।

शोध में खुलासा हुआ कि जलवायु परिवर्तन से दुनियाभर में सब्जियों के दाम में इजाफा हो रहा है। तापमान अधिक बढ़ने से सब्जियों का उत्पादन घटा है। इसका असर सप्लाई चेन में पड़ा। अर्थशास्त्र का बेसिक नियम मांग और पूर्ति का है। जब किसी भी वस्तु की पूर्ति कम होती और मांग अधिक होती है तो मूल्य का बढ़ना लाजिमी है। सब्जियों की मांग बढ़ रही और पैदावार प्रभावित होने से पूर्ति उतनी नहीं हो पा रही है, जितनी मांग होती है।
