This was the first picture I took in this vicinity. This image brings into view a few buildings,one of which is the fire station.For years people have criticised the work of the Fire Department,me included! But I knew a fireman's family once and their life always saddened me.The point being these people are only pieces of a large puzzle,I'm not excusing their performance or lack there of but the department lacks incentive to motivate them,they are Only Human too. This empty street used to be a thriving passageway for students and workers in the capital. Before all the bus 9's stoped a few meters away from this street.This brought all the people who lived in the Waigani and Gerehu area down the streets that led to the bustop. Now with some of the buses going to the main bustop,this street has been reduced to what you see in this picture. However, at night this and the surrounding areas are filled with people who flock to enjoy the night life.
