When I got my new monitor I did the same thing
I've only ever set it once, but Desiree mentioned something about the monitor and it got me thinking that I needed to adjust something. My game seems dark and it shouldn't be. So now I'm trying to find that happy medium. At least I'm not the only who goes through this. lol

It could be a script is acting up. Could you try downloading the program? It may be getting mixed up in a different sim like a crossover. I’m sorry that’s all I could think of.

Is it only her or are others in the medicine field having the same issue? When I first had made my lots I hadn’t installed one of the lots quite right and had to go back for advice from J4Ks at Nraas.

I only have one other sim in the medical career (Morgana Wolff) but I’ve never actively played her. I’ll try switching to her household and see what state she’s in. Many thanks for the suggestion. :-)

Yay! Don't hurt your eyes though. When I play on my mac, that seems to happen since sims 3, the newer OS, and my graphics card don't play nice together.
Reply: Yeah I think that’s what’s happening to me. Very annoying to say the least. My game is playing really smoothly now with the faster processor and RAM but the text is horrible! Still not sure what to do about it. :-(

Reply: Oh no, no, no! My sims have never used dexter the bear. I can’t bear to see a sim die. It’s horrible! Makes me really sad. I just can’t do it lol!

No, I’m pretty sure she hasn’t. We just don’t know who her father is. I suspect not even her mother (Molly French) does. Being such a party animal, I get the feeling she’s been around the block quite a bit. Lol!
