//Talk to me about the early DLC thoughts/high likelihood that the Ariandel Angry Boss is Velka (SHE DIDN'T LEAVE YOU, LIN, SHE... went a peculiar shade of green and half died or something) (have you even watched the trailer yet do this thing for some reason seeing the lordvessel used as a weapon is really satisfying.)

// HMM. Well, to be honest, I only just watched the trailer after I saw it being talked about ( so, literally, just a few minutes ago ) so I’m not sure it’s all properly sank in for me enough to start dishing out thoughts... but, I will tell you my first impressions!

The trailer doesn’t really show us a lot, as expected. I think the title is actually more telling than anything we see. Ariandel has to be related to Ariamas. I’ll be very disappointed if it’s not. The names mirror each other. Plus, it would give more meaning to the tidbits we get in DS3 relating back to the Painted World that we can no longer access. Maybe it will even explain why we can’t? Or, at least, why we can’t in the same way that we did before?

As for Velka, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was her purely because DS3 seems to have found its calling in taking things we think we know and love and ruining them. I like her being a mystery. I like that we’ve only seen a statue and nothing more. I want it to stay that way. But, like I said, this installment seems hellbent on taking our biggest open ends and lighting them on fire. So, I wouldn’t be shocked to find out that it was her. Still, I’ll hope not.
