Con starts on Thursday and we'll be sharing our hotel room with 2 people we've never met lol. Kind of nervous we've never roomed with strangers before. But I'm sure it'll be fine everyone does it.

I am still thinking about how I started fronting earlier tonight and Vox called me Al that just made me sick I wanted to jump over the kitchen table and kill him with my fingernails Ive never been so pissed
We are in dire need of an art studio that is NOT our bedroom or kitchen table thank you.

I genuinely don't think Vel gets enough credit. Like I know that's easy for me to say as someone clinically diagnosed with Loving Her Syndrome, but really. She could have just been a spoiled rich girl. She could have had a comfortable life, even if it wasn't exactly the one she wanted because it would've forced her into the kind of relationship she didn't have any interest in. Or she could've been the kind of rebel like Mon, kind of on the sidelines, watching other people put their lives on the line while she just contributes financially or whatever
But she actually puts herself out there on the front lines. No one made her do that. She made that choice herself. She wanted to be a leader. We don't know specifically why, though we may be able to theorize various reasons and I personally would chop off my left arm to know, but ultimately what does it matter? She's there. She's doing it. She's not just cosplaying a rebel, or whatever bullshit I've seen people say about her. She's in over her head probably, but they all are at this point in the rebellion
Even Cinta doesn't give her the credit (at least on screen) for having made the choice. People talk a lot about the rebels who didn't have a choice - Cinta whose family was lost, Cassian who got thrust into the fight, the Ferrix people whose circumstances make them fighters eventually. But I think the characters who look around at what's happening and make the choice to fight need more love
“But chip she literally wants to go away and take a break” Umm yeah? Wouldn’t you? If you just watched your whole team fall apart and die except for the woman you love, wouldn’t you want to take just a minute alone with her? The fight will be there when you get back, it’s not going away anytime soon. But even then she accepts that it’s not possible or smart to do that and not only continues to do her duty but turns around and uses Cinta's words to keep Mon focused as well
It's just not that often we get to see a character who has the opportunity to live a posh life away from all the horrors of the rebellion and the war but instead decides "No. Give me the big gun and let me at 'em."
And I love her for being that one
