01. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded?
their first names are just Sound Good names, but their last name, because of velts association with lush, made me think of "hmm what if i gave them a last name that sounded like that essential oil pyramid scheme (d0terra)
39. When people look at your character, is there some assumption they might make about them just by appearance? Is that assumption correct?
people tend to correctly guess that alma is the shyer one, and velt is more outgoing, but what they dont assume is the fact velt can throw them across a mall food court. this is a mistake on your part and i'm sorry you're now flying through the air after biting a bathbomb
40. Does your OC have any guilty pleasures they enjoy? Hobbies, past times, music, etc that they wouldn’t want known by others?
both have quite a love for monster fanfics/romance novels, though velt actually writes and edits in her spare time for the genre as well. they would both die of embarrassment if anyone other than those they've already told ever found out about this. especially velt's dragon obsession.
42. Is there anything in your character’s past that they regret, haunts them, or they wish they could change?
it doesn't quite haunt them anymore, but the matching scars on the twins is from an ex of amla's who was trying to seperate and isolate her from her sister. he threw a bomb through their window and the two certainly took a long ass time to recover from it physically, but still have problems with ptsd.
he was in jail for a while! but uh. now he's been released. so alma isn't so keen on going to his neighborhood anymore for deliveries
