SORT OF. He’s still not technically alive, but he’s in like a between realm with Eddie and Rex (Eddie is near death), thanks to whatever it is Knull’s doing. So he’s back, but still dead, kind of. Every single Flash stan on this website hoping this means he’ll be coming back though for good.

What's FFXIV like? I've played all of once

its really something special honestly!!

so you start off with a basic class, either as a healer, a tank, or dps (magic ranged, physical ranged, or melee)

once you reach level...10? or 15? (i forget which), you can start multiclassing into other classes!

then once u reach lvl 30 in a certain class, you get that class’ “job stone”, which basically evolves your basic class into the full class (ie: archer --> bard, conjurer --> white mage, etc)

the story is IMMENSE and MASSIVE and SUPER well written!! admitedly, ‘A Realm Reborn’ drags on a bit longer than most folks would like, but luckily the devs have said they’re working on condensing the ARR quests/story to be much more compact and smooth to make an easy transition into Heavensward, which should be coming out within the next few patches or so!

the actual gameplay just feels so slick and smooth, and the visual/audio feedback is so gratifying

and then the music...oh the music...i could just....[chefs kiss]

and of course there’s also crafting/gathering available! and like all the main jobs, you can multiclass into all the crafting/gathering classes too!

i cant speak much about the pvp stuff since i very rarely ever use it, but the pve stuff outside of the main story is SOOOO fuckin fun

if you like a challenge, then tackling savage tier raids are perfect, cuz they provide a nice difficulty curve for even players totally new to savage raids. if you’re bored with savage, there’s 2 ultimate raids that are the absolute hardest boss fights in all of the game, with a 3rd one making its way in soon.
