Hmmmmb. Time for Ed Sheeran's thinking out loud.

I feel I only make friends with/try to get close to people I see as potentially romantically liking me, then get upset when that happens. This is a super common trend.

Is it a validation thing? A feeling that I need to be guaranteed to be liked, going into a conversation? I suppose no one likes rejection or feeling they're not welcomed. Or maybe I'm deeply embedded in this comfort zone, since it has gotten me social contact, but I want more friendships instead.

Alright, gonna push myself. This time I'll make an effort to socialise with the super social people, people who have partners, more girls and queer people.
