So this is where you see the lost one banging its head but I changed it up a bit so my batim inky persona 'Vent Crawler' is slamming it's head against the wall Henry saw it was staring for too long, so he better get out of the vents quick or he's gonna be next

The Queen Mother had been listening to him behind all the other things she had happening at that moment -- a meeting in twenty-six standard minutes for a trade route discussion, a datapad that was on the verge of completely dying and --
“What did you say?”
Her head had snapped in his direction -- as did her words -- when he brought up Jacen’s name. “Nobody is bringing him into this.”

“are you serious? you’re bringing that up now? is this some sort of new mental warfare tactic you’re perfecting? that excursion was an accident and while it was an enjoyable accident you were never a part of it. jacen solo was.”
“Is that how you’re looking at it? An accident?” Caedus heaved a mocking sigh, long and drawn out, then complemented the noise with a hand over his heart, like he had been stabbed. “Jacen would be so hurt to know that. Poor fragile thing. Is that why you came to me? To tell him that?”

Tenel Ka Djo always found that certain words would drift into her head when she thought of people she knew. Conniving went to her grandmother, resilient was attached to her mother, determined was always one that associated itself with Jaina – gentle was one of the words that mentally always found its way to Jacen Solo.
He had been gentle as a teenager with his collection of living creatures, he had been gentle on their mission to Myrkr, always placing a hand on her shoulder and making sure she was alright – he had been the most gentle when he first held Allana.
As time went on and he unknowingly spiraled towards Caedus, every instance he crawled into the plush blankets of the royal bed and laid his hands on her, things would get rougher. With every visit, it went a little further.
Tenel Ka had never minded though. She figured it was the stress he was under, the scrutiny and the nonstop questions finally getting to him.
And she wouldn’t admit to anyone that she enjoyed it.
She gave orders all day, every day, for so much of her life that she welcomed another’s dominance. He was the only one who could get away with it though – sexual or otherwise.
After he was gone, she found herself wondering – on occasion – how young, gentle Jacen Solo would have handled the mere thought of some of the things that happened in the royal bed.
(And on the table in the Queen’s Drawing Room, and the counter in the refresher and so on.)

The warrior is advising him to prepare to die.
Jacen smiles. It’s a sad smile: melancholy, resigned.
He nods.
In a part of his mind far from the pain and the blood and the harsh blue-white glare, he can feel the dark satisfaction of the amphistaff polyps behind him as they swiftly, almost instantly digest the fallen warrior. He feels their glittering anticipation, and the shuddering release as they use the meal of warrior’s flesh to give themselves the strength to reproduce.
Amphistaff polyps breed asexually; the amphistaffs themselves become a polyp’s offspring, released from their nodules to squirm away in search of the proper ground to take root and begin their transformation into polyps themselves. Through his empathic connection, Jacen shows them the ground he recommends.
Trusting their friend, the amphistaffs take his advice.
He stretches forth his arms. The warriors can only stare in openmouthed awe as amphistaffs fall like leaves from the polyps at his back; as amphistaffs wriggle down the polyps’ knobby leathern trunks and slither through the grass.
Amphistaffs twine about Jacen’s ankles and climb his body like vines enveloping a forgotten jungle idol. They twist around his legs, his hips, his chest, coiling the length of his arms, shrouding his neck, curving up to embrace even his skull. The approaching squads of fully armed warriors slow uncertainly, not quite sure, now, how to attack.
Because the vonduun crab is not the only creature that can resist the cut of an amphistaff blade.
Jacen brings his hands together before him, and offers the warriors a solemn bow. When he parts his hands again, a mature amphistaff stretches between them, blade and spike, fully envenomed. As is every one of the seventeen amphistaffs that make up his armor.
Jacen says, “I’d like you all to meet some friends of mine.”

[ HANDS DAMN DOWN MY FAVORITE CANON JACEN SOLO MOMENT. I have so many feels re: this whole book. Especially this scene. I love when authors would look into his connection with creatures and he’s doing that and KICKING ASS as an added bonus.👏 ]
