Jacen has moved! My 2023 has been absolute crap so far and for a good while I’ve been debating on moving all my journals to a main multimuse with side blogs for each of them — I’m hoping this helps me balance my time with each of my muses better/write more/just have a smoother RP experience.

I am so tired of logging in and out between so many accounts. xD

Anyways, Jacen can be found ^^^ there (and will follow from @neonshadows) and I’ll update when Tenel Ka moves as well. <3

[ I have almost 2,800 posts on this blog since February of 2016 -- and 1,200+ on @ereneda​ -- and I’m at the point where I’m thinking do I archive these two blogs and start new ones for a sort of clean slate? Or these have so much history I should just stick with them?

Like they would have the same names and everything but........?

Then... do I put them under the multimuse umbrella of @neonshadows​ with their own sideblogs... or...?

Does anyone who has done any of the things above have any insight/advice/suggestions? xD

“- and joining me tonight, Joint Chief of State Solo!” Cheers and applause erupted. Little did Jacen know that the studio audience and been selectively picked prior to broadcast by the concierges, consisting predominately of individuals they had  predetermined to have the lowest probability of booing.

She shook his hand as he walked out onto the set, and gestured to the chair opposite her. “Thanks so much for giving up your time to be here on our festive spectacular.”

Taking her seat by the arms, and casually sliding into it, Deena continued. “So, Jacen, I can call you Jacen, right? Lubed. Before we get right into it - you’ve actually been nominated by our viewers to compete in a few games we’ve got lined up. You feeling up to it?”

  Forcing a smile -- something that used to come so easily to him -- Caedus Jacen Solo emerged from backstage and waved to the audience, carefully giving them a once over before shaking Deena’s hand and seating himself across from her.

  “No problem. I needed a break anyways,” he waved a hand, his smile softening a bit. It was true, he did. From... everything. And the festive decorations around the set were bringing up family memories that were welcoming to a small part of him and annoying to the other, much more prominent part.

  Relaxing as much as he could manage in the heavy glow of the stage lights and the stylish but slightly uncomfy chair, he nodded at her first question. “Of course-- is Deena alright?”

  A deep inhale was his first reaction to the second question. Games. He hadn’t played anything of the sort since the academy on Yavin IV. Unless mind games counted? He spent a moment of thought on that before delivering what hopefully came across as an excited nod. “I don’t see why not! Gotta do what the people ask, yeah?”

“You’re being an idiot. And you’re going to be fine,” Jaina said as she hurried him along. “It’s just… It’s probably just a concussion. Slightly.” 

“Sorry I hit you in the head with the ‘spanner, Jasa,” she said, dumping him on the first available bed in the med bay. She waved over one of the healers to inspect his head. “He got in the way,” she explained, knowing how awful it sounded, but it was true. 

Her parents were going to be so mad.

  His words were slowed a bit. “A concussion? Concussion? That sure is a word. That’s just like... a head thing, right?”

  His vision had started to blur slightly and when he collapsed on the med bay bed he saw four of his sister for a moment, his eyes widening and staring at the spot where they all had been. The medic approached and stepped into his field of view where his sisters had been--

  “Don’t step on her!” Jacen said to the medic, his voice cracking.

  Their parents probably would be at least a little mad, but if Jacen had been in his right mind, he was pretty sure this was one of those many moments the Solo twins would keep to themselves. ( As long as his injury wasn’t too serious. )

  There was so much going on in the Fountain Palace that specific day that Jacen found himself easily able to pull his hood farther over his head and fall in line with a gaggle of new suitors on their way to the gardens to meet the recently appointed Queen Mother. They had been talking amongst themselves ( talking themselves up to each other was a more fitting description ) and he slipped away from them, rounding hedges and peering under branches until he spotted a head of red-gold hair, the sun giving it a familiar, rich copper glint.

  He had a few more scars than the last time he had seen her ( maybe more than a few ), both inside and out, and his eyes were probably noticeably more hollow, but he inhaled deeply, hoping he was still enough of the Jacen Solo she remembered.

  Jacen wanted to be there for her since he knew all of this was never something she wanted. The title of Queen Mother was something that struck dread in her, it seemed. It was easy for any friend of hers to see why.

  “Congratulations are in order, I hear?” He shifted around a perfectly groomed wall of vines to come into view, a lopsided grin forced across his lips. “Your Majesty?”

  Making light of it was a risk, but one he was willing to take. It’s what Jacen would have done ( before the war started ).

A Jacen Solo Adjacent Rant – AN ADJACENT RANT IF YOU WILL lol sorry: 

I will feel this for an eternity. I wish I had the money/skills/everything to make a SWEU fanfilm. I hate that one of the biggest ones (or biggest two, really) with Solo kids/that timeframe has this absolute huge trigger/content warning for s.exual assualt under the cut playing Jacen Solo?

Like I’ve been in such a Legends headspace on and off lately and I just want there to be more out there than this. HOW DOES ONE FANFILM? HOW DOES ONE SCRUB AN ASSCLOWN FROM FANDOM?

I know I’ve posted about it before but the rage always comes back when I see anything about the fanfilm. Someone posted a gif from it on twitter and I said something because I couldn’t stop myself and they were actually like “oh god no” and took it down and we talked about how disappointing and gross it was and how the SWEU needs better shit. I’ve mentioned this whole mess to people before and they’re like, “so what??”

WHICH… REALLY? FOR REAL. Anyways, I needed to get this off my chest again since I always do apparently lol whoops

{ Since life has been absolute crap the past few years, I’ve been off and on a lot here and have missed out on continuing threads and some memes and such that were sent in.
