"It's really weird becoming friends with the younger version of your dad," Jeremy admitted. "And remembering that you have to censor yourself because a shit ton of things you'll mention haven't happened yet and if you mention them they may never happen at all. I want to be born thank you very much."
Though he was beginning to doubt that'd ever happen here but, unless he traveled to the future, he'd never be able to say for sure.

"How about getting in here before you catch a cold or something?" Jeremy said pulling Charles inside. "You know you could catch your death that way."
"Erik stole my spoon!"
“Charles…it’s a spoon.” She isn’t sure how to respond really. She’s always known men on occasion to be territorial, but that was for friendships or for countries, not for…cutlery. Was there really such a grave shortage of spoons in the house? Had Erik somehow absconded with the only one left? Or was this perhaps a significant spoon, something personal that had been passed down for generations? Magda wasn’t sure and she was undoubtedly overthinking the matter, but she’d entertain the young Mr.Xavier’s complaint all the same. “…and I’m sure he didn’t steal it. He probably just borrowed it without permission, but with every intention of giving it back. Eventually. “

"Hello there young man. I have heard a lot about the exordinary things you have done at such a young age."
"Tęskniłem za tobą!"
It doesn’t matter how often he does this, the words will always flip a switch in the confines of her skull and warm her heart in ways she’s long since forgotten. Charles has always been a welcome part of her life since he’d first toppled into it, and the same could be said for this younger incarnation of her dearest friend. He reminds her of home when he utters Polish, reminds her of happier times and a life that seems so far away from the one she’s currently living. He looks so lost whenever he appears, like butter wouldn’t melt as he tries to bring joy and comfort to all those around him. She supposes the same could be said for the Professor in her own timeline, but that doesn’t make her any less fond of the dimension hopping incarnation before her now. If anything, he’s an honorary member of the family, a sort of surrogate child in his own way, but that’s perhaps owing more to the fact that Magda is a notorious mother hen and wants to fuss over him for as long as possible. Was this what Xavier had been like back when she and Erik were still courting the idea of a normal life? It’s strange to see the reality of it, when it seems such a far cry from the man she’s come to know in the present timeline. This Charles looks softer around the edges, less troubled by the passage of time and the hardships he’s faced throughout the years. There’s innocence there in the way his lips tilt into that easy smile and Magda takes comfort in it as she clasps her hands together over her heart and tries to keep an acceptable expression etched onto her face. She wants to cuddle him, to bundle him up in blankets and usher him inside to make sure his belly is full and his needs sated. She wants to treat him like a child, although in essence she knows he’s not. He’s a similar age to Pietro, if she’s calculated correctly and perhaps that’s why she finds it so easy to resort to molly coddling the poor man - but it’s only ever with good intentions. Smiling from ear to ear, eventually she finds the words to speak, English this time however, as opposed to the Polish she’s been greeted with. “If you missed me so much, maybe you should’ve come back sooner głupi!”
