Oh. So that was why he had been supposed to bring his sketchbook. He’d known Coralin had take up art as a hobby to relax and because the hobbies she had in her own world didn’t really carry over, but that she’d become this serious about it..?
Alfonse couldn’t help but smile as he pulled up a chair, though. He’d been worried for a while that she might overwork herself, being in a strange land surrounded by strange people and having nothing to anchor herself to reality. And if it, in the end, meant he could talk to someone about his interest in drawing and not get a look that said ‘I love you and I support you but I have no idea what you’re talking about’ in return... well, that was just a bonus.
“I don’t have much time to pursue it actively,” he admitted. “So I don’t usually get beyond sketches... But I do enjoy it. I can’t say I’ve ever worked with paint on a canvas, though.” He opened up his sketchbook, browsing through the filled pages for something he could potentially show the summoner without being ashamed. “I’m sure there’s something here I could clean up... I just have to find it.”
