Verni examines Ciel, taking in how he wore his clothes and how his hair was different than it normally was. “Hmmm...” He pulls on Ciel’s cheek and then his hair and then his clothes. “Is this really you?”

“Yes Verni!” Ciel hisses, trying to pull himself away from him. “You’re embarassing me!”

Verni laughs heartily and pats Ciel’s back hard. “You also changed so much! You use to be a brat back then.” 

He squirms and tries to break away from Verni, who continued to pat his back everytime. Ciel wishes that he never met with his embarrassing adopted in the first place when he heard that he was still well and alive.
