About Vernon:

Vernon's the top coordinator and a well known actor-performer (take it like Mamoru Miyano). He's also very skilled in battling, was unbeatable at that point.

However these manifested into very bad habits, which compounded together with childhood trauma, gave rise to mental illness which he already had since young, but tried hiding it until old. This prompted him to retire, return to Paldea to teach in Naranja/Uva academy as its Literature/performing arts instructor.

This actually helps him, a retired performer to heal.

He's actually the youngest son of 4 kids, whose father owned a good number of businesses in Paldea. Supermarkets, picnic peripheral.

...but that's for another day. He's also dating Instructor Saguaro. And now he's well-loved as an instructor due to his passion for teaching.

He's a known performer and a veteran in the entertainment circle, where he's since retired from so that's the majority of his skill set. Vernon's name is still around when people talk about Pokémon contesting.
