How do you draw wings?? I absolutely love wings but it's one of the things I struggle the most on

I don’t really have a specific way I do it, but heres a doodle sheet I did a few days ago? Honestly, no pun intended, but I really just wing it. Sometimes I put my hands into random positions or look up pictures of hands and use them as references, but its been a while since I’ve done that. I really like imagining that a dragons wing is a really huge and skinny hand, its just webbed.

Verrix! So glad to see you back. Two questions - even if we aren't on artfight (there's no way I'm finishing anything in time) can we still draw your OCs? And I don't suppose you have any general advice on drawing dragon hind legs?

Oh yeah absolutely! And honestly its hard to explain, but i can art dump some examples! I’m better at doing redlines over art to give advice, putting things into words is hard, especially with how unique everyones styles can get!

I know i would use a lot of real world stuff to compare, like for a while i gave mudwings only a few nails on their back legs bc of gators

I think what made me really click into liking paws/talons, i saw a really cool artist draw these like long hand paws? And people do a mix of hands and paws for anthro characters! Heres what i can think of.

I think really the only thing i focus on for back legs is: Does it look like it can fit the dragons role? Skywings are FAST, so they need long and skinny legs! Mudwings are huge and strong… so armored and thick!

How did pigmy and briar meet? :3 I assume they know each other?

Pygmy and Briar are placed in Embris Isles, as 1800s timezone esq roleplay server I’m in. When they were young, there was a war that divided the continents once more, and it left Pygmy, a pantalan dragon, away from her home and her family. In Embris, Pantalan dragons were odd and frowned upon or even scorn.

But so too were hybrids. Two different views, but similar outcomes. Briar was born the Bigwings in a group of five. However, two of his siblings that passed as pure icewings were taken away before he ever truly learned them. He was left with a big heart, constantly feeling half empty despite still having two siblings to protect. When he met Pygmy, a stranger just as lost as they were, she became just like another sibling to him.

Pygmy isn’t very happy in a world where she, a pure dragon, is treated just the same as the hybrids she surrounds herself with. It’s unfair, really. But she finds the good in the situation none the less. If she talks loud enough, and to enough lost hybrids, they start to band together. They start to trust her, and they start to follow her lead.

Like the sheep leading the rest to slaughter.
