His brows cinch together, head tilting back a fraction as he stares at the unknown number lighting up his screen. He would ignore it — normally would’ve. Doesn’t entertain strangers, but curiosity’s a stubborn itch, & it wins more often than he’ll admit. His tongue presses against the inside of his cheek before he finally types.

The princess would have to restrain herself from kneeling down to give the animal a friendly pet, knowing that some - goats especially - could be rather ornery. That doesn't stop her from admiring at a comfortable distance, though.

Rapunzel did oh so love how supportive and kind her red-haired friend was - but she worried that even she might change her opinion once she saw what the problem was.

Sheepishly, she turns the canvas around to reveal—an otherwise perfectly normal painting of Eugene, if not for the glaringly obvious misshapen nose - ruined by a simple erred brushstroke that now made him look like a pointy-nosed witch - all because of a sneeze!

The princess smiles, opening up her journal and flipping to the relevant page - upon which a painting of a pink dragon with a single horn and frills upon the back of its head is displayed. A smaller copy of the mural which she had added to her bedroom wall in honor of Pascal's new friend.

❝ This one hatched inside the castle. It was a whole thing. ❞ She giggles, before a soft sigh is exhaled. ❝ It's sad that so many people think of them as monsters. Little Big Guy was just—a big puppy. ❞

She perks up then.
