Dry   grass   crunched   beneath   ebony   heel   as   the   princess   took   a   cautious   step   back.   "I-Is   that...."   teal   eyes   gawked,   wide   as   saucers. 

 "is   that   a   dragon????"   In   hindsight   Anna   shouldn't   have   been   that   shocked,   her   own   sister   had   magical   powers   that   literally   froze   an   entire   fjord!!   but   a   dragon?   That   just   seemed   like   it   was   on   another   level   of   craziness!

"ah, there they are again." she pulls the other with her into the alleyway, hopefully those bad humans didn't spot her though her heart still races with anxiety ( especially seeing the torches on them ). "i don't think they saw us so you should run. i'll try to get back to the castle."

BERK had never seen a future chief like hiccup haddock and in astrid's mind, they were all the better for it. after years of tradition and doing things a certain way, he'd truly shaken up life on their isle and she found herself enjoying the ride. change was an inevitable part of life and though she'd been strictly against most of it in the beginning, she'd gotten closer to him and opened her eyes to all the possibilities. LIVING in harmony with dragons instead of hunting them had helped them start advancing into a bright future and astrid had fully embraced their new way of life. somehow, berk looked even more beautiful with dragons flying through the air and astrid sighed contently as she thought about how much good change the boy beside her had brought forth already; this was just the beginning. she was about to speak when she saw his hand move towards hers from the corner of her eye, smiling softly at the hesitation. in response, she reached for his instead and laced their fingers together. ❛❛ you've done good around here already, you know. ❜❜ voice was full of affection and she glanced over at him. ❛❛ we're all lucky to have you, but especially me. ❜❜
