Lambda is having the ANNUAL BAKE SALE and everybody is excited. The girls spend days preparing for the big day, decorating everything and searching for the best recipes; the rest of the university is excited for the delicious baked goods they get to taste. 

But it seemed one culprit sneaked into the sorority house and exchanged sugar with salt. Every dough the girls prepared beforehand is inedible and it seems like the Bake Sale is in danger this year. Will Lambda manage to pull the sale off or do they have to quit this year? And who was the culprit?

I thought of something smaller for the first verse event ever. I hope a lot of you take place in this. Threads and plots can happen around the bake sale, the planning or after it was discovered that the doughs were spoiled. It’s up to you which direction it goes. Drama? Humor? Who knows? Maybe your muses channel their inner Sherlock and Watson and investigate who is responsible for this? Or the Lambda girls plan revenge?

So, enjoy this first of many first events and tell me what you think about it.

There Comes a Season || starter for hollownesswithin

Mink had been drawn into this trip despite his initial trepidation about traveling; Sei’s enthusiasm had proven more and more difficult to deflect. He constantly said that he wanted to see new things, new places, new people; those ‘bodyguards’ never seemed interested in doing anything for him.

He’d made the offer to take him on a trip innocently enough, but Sei latched on to the idea with something like a death grip, swatting down one objection after another. Criminal? Leave the prison jewelry at home. Dangerous? Not with Mink around. Expensive? “Money isn’t a problem,” Sei said. And with that, all of Mink’s reasons not to go were replaced with one very excited young man who seemed to have been looking forward to this for all of his life.

Mink let him have the window seat on the short plane ride from Midorijima to Osaka. They had taken off in the dark hours of the morning, after Sei snuck out of the hotel room that he shared with Virus and Trip, carrying a small suitcase with him. He thought of Virus and Trip waking up to find Sei gone and couldn’t stop a genuine smile from curving his lips. Maybe he’d send them a postcard.

Hearing Sei talk about the sunrise over the eastern ocean, how he talked about seeing the curvature of the earth, and the shapes of clouds that he pointed to, outlined in dawn’s light. Mink, of course, watched an entirely different kind of scenery. Plane trips, he’d taken before, but he hadn’t seen Sei’s face like this before.

The Shinkansen coasted into the station, quiet and sleek, the long nose sticking out in front of it like the prow of a boat. As people picked up their jackets and suitcases and milled around them on the train platform, Mink looked down at his companion.
