Following Paimon's retirement and abdication of his throne of the Ars Goetia, Galba takes control as his heir and in a swift bloody night, purges his house of competition and declares his reign, instituting a new dynamic among the Ars Goetia.
Gusion has positioned his daughter Athena as a candidate for Galba's queen and himself as the new king's right hand. Meanwhile, Baal has become the center of a new coalition of growing discontent with the new regime.

"I think I have a better angle for this Hazbin Hotel. We just need to find the right spin..."
The main premise behind this AU is that Vox didn't have the big, dramatic, humiliating fallout with Alastor that set him on the trajectory he ultimately went down. While he still has a lot of the same flaws, he is a bit less jaded, a bit less slow to trust, a bit more genuine. But still absolutely a morally dubious schmoozer and a con man. Basically what I'm going for is "What if Vox's flashback characterization, but in the present?"
For the purposes of differentiating between him and canon Vox, I think I'm probably just gonna call him Vinnie in threads. I'm also probably going to stick with my Vincent icons--he's definitely done some upgrades to his screen still, but probably not quite as many as canon Vox.
He still is the CEO of Voxtek Entertainment, but currently is a solo act. That doesn't mean he doesn't know Velvette or Valentino, and in fact probably does if they're still Overlords, but he's not currently in a team with them.
He's contracted by Charlie to manage Public Relations for the hotel. He absolutely does not believe redemption is truly possible, but as long as the checks clear, he's willing to humor the delusions of a naive nepobaby.
Considering they haven't had their falling out, his not-friendship with Alastor is still pretty rock solid, though the degree of this will obviously depend on the Alastor muse and the dynamic we write out.
@potensreginae presents…Relta’s Marvel Super Soldier AU/The Old Guard AU Verse
V: My Baby’s Got A Gun
Born to Lady Ekaterina and Lord Douglass McLeod, rulers of a little known kingdom to the Northeast of what is now called “Russia” on June 14th, 1900 at 2:58PM yet was born in Manhattan, New York, USA to keep her from being kidnapped by anti-monarchists.
She was raised as an aristocrat of Old Money, yet they till were refugees by technicalities of their status. She made friends with the servant’s children, including taking one as a lover at age 18 despite her parents’ disapproval.
She has 3 younger half-siblings: Aislin, Alastair, and Madeline.
At age 29, Relta was choked to death by her fiancé, one Mister Russo-Wagner, using a necklace of hers he wished to steal as he needed the funds to sail to Europe and away from debtors and card sharks.
Relta was revived, however she’d been dead for three minutes. Not that modern medicine of 1929 could tell you (I don’t think), but she lacked brain damage despite the prolonged lack of oxygen to the brain miraculously.
She served in WWI’s final year despite being heir to the throne of a small monarchy she planned to hand over to the people upon her coronation. She worked as a doctor due to her medical training being extensive as part of her royal upbringing
Relta’s parents and youngest sister, who had been 8.5 months pregnant, had been killed, leaving Relta as the only legitimate heir to the throne, and still the eldest and thus first choice in the type of monarchy she didn’t wish to rule.
Relta asked soldiers she was helping recover from injuries to teach her how to fight and shoot a gun, so she was taught how to by one in particular — [NPC INFO] Ilya Ivanov. The two also fell in love, marrying when he died, she revived him, and he became immortal seeming as well, and enchanted in all ways.
Relta and Ilya, sadly, were unable to have children when they moved back to Manhattan, NY, USA, to have a family. Their infertility seemed to be due to an injury to the reproductive system of Ilya during the war, where he had served as a Russian spy on the German front.
After the war, they settled down in Manhattan where her parents and siblings also lived, having a flat at the top of a skyscraper once they were perfected as hotels (if that hadn’t already happened). They were given diplomatic immunity and protections due to their royal status from their now obliterated kingdom.
Utilizes weapons, including guns modified to work with heavy tranquilizers, more so than utilizing her super strength in hand to hand combat. Otherwise, she is similar in fighting style to [Black Widow] and [The Winter Soldier]
Parting in the 2000s from each other and the Old Guard(if applicable), Relta headed to Hell’s Kitchen to help with the crime busting by superheroes by operating as a doctor for the angels and devils of Hell’s Kitchen.
verse info for astarion, halsin, jaheira, karlach, lae'zel, medea, rickon stark, and satine kryze for the bg3 universe found below the cut.
trigger warnings listed before each muse's verse description if they include any.
ASTARION ANCUNIN ( canon, the pale elf ). thief rogue/champion fighter multiclass. high elf.
** trigger warnings in astarion's backstory : coercion, abuse (physical and psychological), sex trafficking, torture **
astarion remembers very little of his life before he was a vampire. so long has passed that his first proper memory is clawing his way out of his grave as a new vampire spawn. his life since then has been torture-- literally and figuratively, as he was bound to the sick whims and control of cazador szarr, an eccentric and cruel vampire who sought to ascend through the creation of thousands of spawn. astarion and his siblings were used to gather more souls for him, though they had no idea that's what they were doing at the time.
when astarion was abducted in baldur's gate, it was a blessing. suddenly he was free to walk in the sun, out of cazador's control, and remembered what life felt like again. he joins the party in act 1 to give himself some hint of safety, and ends up remaining with them all the way to baldur's gate. together, they stop cazador's ascension and get justice for astarion and all the other spawn cazador made.
* note: i will not be writing ascended astarion. ever. please respect that.
HALSIN ( canon, the first druid of the grove ). beastmaster ranger/circle of the land druid multiclass. forest elf and werebear.
halsin grew up a wild child with a profound connection to the world around him. nature raised him, and he became dedicated to the oakfather through his younger years. he also met thaniel during this time-- the embodiment of nature itself and his spiritual guide.
he fought in the first conflict with ketheric, but returns to the emerald grove traumatized and newly named first druid. he did not enjoy being a leader, nor did he want to be leader. returning to moonrise to get rid of the shadow curse was his primary focus until he found a strange tadpole in the body of a drow.
halsin joins the party at the end of act 1, and accompanies them to the shadow cursed lands. he either remains in the newly cured lands at the end of act 2, or accompanies the party to baldur's gate depending on what they want.
JAHEIRA ( canon, the high harper ). gloomstalker ranger/circle of stars druid multiclass. high half elf.
** i've only played bg3 all the way through, but i know the path of the first two games and will include some details of that in my interpretation of jaheira. her husband was killed when she was still fairly young, which is an event that thoroughly shaped who she is and her somewhat unhealthy attachment to her work over social connections.**
jaheira is a soldier through and through, and while she likes to think life would've been different if khalid hadn't been killed, she was never the softest soul. she became obsessed with the shadow curse and finding a way to stop it. she joins the party at the end of act 2 after ketheric is defeated. once in baldur's gate, she is reunited with minsc (and boo) and her children.
born and raised in baldur's gate, karlach thought she'd spend her whole life there. she wasn't from an especially rich or notable family, but she was happy. she wanted to make something for herself, and that path led her to work with enver gortash for several years.
gortash handing her over to zariel was the worst moment of her life. not even the engine in her chest could replace her broken heart; she fought on the frontlines of the war for years, until chance gave her the opportunity to escape avernus on a nautiloid headed for.... well, she didn't actually care. anywhere was better than that.
karlach joins the party in act 1 as a companion, and becomes fast friends with wyll when he stands against his patron mizora for her. while she gets some repairs done on her engine, she eventually is forced to return to avernus, though wyll ( and potentially tav ) goes with her.
LAE'ZEL ( canon, the githyanki warrior ). oath of the crown paladin. githyanki.
lae'zel was raised to be loyal. to vlaakith, to the githyanki, to her creche-- she had a mission, and she would follow it until death or victory. being tadpoled was her worst nightmare, but it was the only start of her problems. after joining the party in act 1, lae'zel slowly comes to realize that vlaakith is not who she thought she was.
lae'zel defects and becomes champion of gith's son, orpheus. she helps in freeing him and fights alongside him in the battle to destroy the netherbrain. she takes the egg she stole from the creche and raises the boy to know and value peace as much as war.
MEDEA ( verse ). shadow sorcerer. durge companion. high elf.
** trigger warnings for medea's backstory: grooming, domestic abuse, murder, child death.**
medea is what could be considered a bad first draft. that anger was fused into her bones, the blood made to burn through her veins, her heart crafted to let her feel nothing but chaos. while she fought against those urges, they were turned against those who raised her, and then upon her own blood when she tried to fight against bhaal’s hold on her. medea went rogue after that, and was set aside as a failure so that bhaal could learn from those mistakes and make the chaos he so desperately wished to. medea holds no illusions as to what she is; her only hope now is to aid the true dark urge turn to their own path– whether it’s good or bad is their choice, but medea will be there with them to help them make the right choice for them.
RICKON STARK ( verse ). beastmaster ranger. human.
rickon is a former noble turned ranger after his home was taken over by a rival family. he and his direwolf companion shaggy dog came to the emerald grove, where he sought sanctuary and a new home. he had peace for a while, until kagha initiated the ceremony to seal the grove and remove the tieflings. after the party defeat the goblins, rickon offers to accompany them and halsin to moonrise towers. he joins the party as an end of act 1/act 2 companion.
SATINE KRYZE ( verse ). oathbreaker paladin. former matriarch of house kryze. seldarine drow.
coming from menzoberranzan, satine was raised with the knowledge that the world was cruel, and she either had to be cruel or clever to survive in it. most of her house worshipped lolth, though there were a few outliers who followed the seldarine tradition and did not follow the teachings of the spider goddess. satine was one such drow, and when she became matriarch of house kryze, it put an obvious target on her back.
against her will, satine was forced to flee the city after an assassination attempt nearly succeeded. her sister bo katan took over, and satine found herself painfully alone. on her way to the surface in the hopes of finding peace, she was captured and tadpoled. she is released from its influence in grymforge by the party and joins them, breaking her oath of non-violence to enact revenge on those who did this to her.
indiana jones/mar*vel crossover verse. Set before mutants are known to the world. Dates are flexible but early 1900s
In a world where the extraordinary has been buried under centuries of lies, Alena Cross is a secret even to herself. Born in 1906 in the isolated town of Black Hollow, she grew up hearing whispers of strange bloodlines, of beings touched by ancient power — but never once imagining she was one of them. The truth was hidden as carefully as any artifact: Alena Cross is a mutant, a child of a lineage the world has forgotten, erased, and driven into hiding.
Alena always felt drawn to ruins of myths, relics, and forgotten histories. It was as though the stones themselves spoke to her. She mistook it for intuition. She mistook it for obsession. She never imagined it was in her blood.
Graduating from Hawthorne University in 1928 with highest honors in History and Library Science, Alena quickly rose within the Carnegie Archives, renowned for her uncanny skill at unearthing lost knowledge. Yet even among the highest towers of academia, she felt the pull of deeper mysteries — the missing pieces, the erased histories that no textbook dared touch.
Her secret life began slowly: clandestine trips to abandoned mutant enclaves, whispered conversations with those still living in the shadows. The more she learned, the clearer it became — mutantkind had not vanished. They had simply been forced to survive in silence.
Now, in the 1930s, as the world edges toward another great war and ancient powers stir once more, Alena hunts for the greatest prize of all: the Codex of the First Mutation, a relic said to hold the truth of mutant origins — and perhaps, a future where they no longer have to hide.
But forces both human and mutant will do anything to keep that truth buried. Some would kill to silence her. Others would crown her a symbol of rebellion. And deep down, Alena must confront the hardest truth of all:
She is not just a historian of the lost world. She is part of it.
John Walker loses Lemar at the age of sixteen, in a car crash. John gets hooked onto pain pills after the crash; he hides the addiction from his girlfriend Olivia for a couple of years until he starts waking up in random places and calls his girlfriend crying, because he's scared and wants help. She tries to get him help but he ends up relapsing years later after they are married. She ends up leaving him after he refuses to get help again.
While moping around high he ends up stumbling across the Sentry Project. He joins in hopes of getting clean so he can get Olivia back. Unbeknownst to John he becomes a part of O.B.X's project to make the perfect and strongest hero ever known.
From here it just follows the movie with differences, like John's powers are manifested by his anger, so he's like the Hulk but doesn't turn green and Bob's US Agent with his bipolar depression still.
I haven't really put much thought into this, but I will answer any and all questions anyone has about this verse. I will play Sentry! John after the Thunderbolts movie and before the fourteen months at the end of the credits. I will also play him after the fourteen months mark, where hopefully he learns to control his anger and his powers.
John's a cisgender bisexual male in this verse, unless otherwise plotted
When the Great Flood brought the First Sinners to Hell, Lucifer got the idea of Hell being a purgatory for these poor Souls. Surely his newly formed realm was meant for these Souls to learn their lessons, cleanse themselves and earn the right to reincarnate to try again for Heaven, yes? So, newly crowned as King of Hell, Lucifer jumped at the chance to be a good ruler, doing everything in his power to try and help the Sinners, and for a while, it almost looked like they could succeed.
Almost.
Despite the progress made, Lucifer began to slowly realize that none of these Sinners were reincarnating. In fact, the more Sinners that arrived, the more wicked they were becoming, even being a bad influence on the ones already there. He tried contacting the Heavenly Council, to ask for help, but he was rebuffed and ignored. The Sins were busy running their own Rings, so Lucifer sought the help of Paimon, the King of the Ars Goetia, to try and find a way to help the SInners. Except what Paimon discovered was that the humans were blaming Lucifer for Hell to begin with.
In fact, the Sinners were blaming Lucifer for ending up in Hell entirely.
All of those years, all of the blood, sweat and tears, all of the hard work that Lucifer put into trying to save these damned creatures, trying to hold onto the hope that his rebellion to love Lilith and grant the humans free will would be worth it, it all came crashing down on Lucifer, who snapped, and turned into his third form, a monstrous bird with flaming wings and he lay waste to the Sinners in retribution.
The Punishment Ring was created in that moment. Lucifer assigned special demons to torture the Sinners for their crimes. Those who avoided the Punishment Ring were now walking on eggshells around their King, terrified of being torn apart or outright devoured for the crime of simply existing. The sweet dreamer that Lilith had known was consumed by a creature of bitterness and hatred; to Lucifer, if the humans wanted the Devil, they were going to get the Devil.
The Dark Age of Hell lasted four thousand years. Lucifer was a cruel and heartless ruler, showing affection only for the Sins, the Goetia and Lilith. He gave more respect to the Hellborn than he did the Sinners, to the point where a Soul could breathe wrong in his proximity and suddenly they would brutally murdered. He relished in the terror that he caused, but over time, his depression began to take root in his mind, and slowly, the bloodshed began to dissipate.
There's not a Sinner alive now who remembers the Dark Age, but the Hellborn remember; the Sins and the Goetia remember. Lucifer still holds some of that darkness within him, ready and willing to use it if he has absolutely no choice. But his bitterness towards the Sinners needs to be worked on; while many of them he hates, he knows Charlie is right. Some of them can be redeemed, and they need the chance and support to do so.
