𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, the action would make it clear to any outsider that she had been comfortable in his house, or that she’d at least been here more than once. The car ride had felt like A MILLION YEARS, when in reality their office buildings were only fifteen minutes away from each other, and Rey didn’t even have to drive to meet him here, instead he had picked her up. The entire ride, she had went into the details that she couldn’t over text, ranting to her HEART’S CONTENT about her boss. An unrepaired coffee machine left Rey to do what one might call an intern’s job.. Except there was no intern, so Rey called it ‘BITCH-WORK.’ Going to get coffees and sent all around town on careless errands only to be belittled and yelled at, she had snapped and threw her boss’ coffee at him, and walked right out of work.
The decision was a poor one, but truly, it was years in the making. Her mascara was somehow still intact after all of the NEAR-SHED TEARS, and sniffling on the way here, but the look on her face said she was anything but calm. ❝ I know it was stupid, but I’m not going back there.. I can’t go back to that place and I don’t care where I go. I’d rather be SLEEPING ON A GODDAMN BENCH again than deal with that prick for one more minute, I’ll end up in jail if I have to. ❞ She said, having completely ignored Ben’s opinion and advice. Sure, picking up and leaving a job on an impulse when you were one notice away from being evicted was.. Well, not wise, but REY WAS A STUBBORN ONE.
