#very intriguing question

Might be a random question, but this is something I think about quite a bit. What characters do you really like/respect but can't see yourself writing?

this is... very hard and i'm definitely not going to name everyone that has crossed my mind at some point or another. my ability to like. remember media these days is so tricky, and i'm also so rarely watching/reading things lately that that doesn't help.

raven from teen titans comes to mind. i did technically write her for a bit on tumblr but eventually let her go when i felt like i just wasn't doing her justice... same with rita from oliver and company.

jack sparrow from potc, rarity from mlp, duchess from aristocats, anya from spy x family, sokka from atla, fei wu from miraculous ( honestly she's not fully off the chopping block ), rosetta from tinker bell ( also not entirely off the chopping block ), snow white from.... snow white ( the original ), maya from sso, porsha from sing ( also still think about her occasionally ), cindy lou who from the grinch... and probably many more i can't even recall.

i like a lot of characters, and there's definitely many that would never fit in my rp sort of world. a lot of the serious movies i like are usually based off true events ( remember the titans, freedom writers, etc ) and like. i would never rp characters from that since they are based on real lives lol.

and then i watch cooking shows and sports... and i haven't read in ages. i guess i could list all the warriors characters i liked. hint: most of them died or were ignored.

Not sure if you’ve said before, but is it doveport as in “doh”v or “duh”v.. I’m embarrassed if I’ve been imagining it wrong

Hey there! Honestly I haven't thought of this before 😂

I've been saying "doh" as in the "doh" in "dough" or "dove" because in my head it's literally Doveport: Port of the Doves, since it's a port town and a very peaceful one.

Buuuut I actually have no idea if the Maine accent would make it more of a doh or duh, any americans wanna share with the class?

who from the Terror lads would you least hate to get stuck in an elevator with for 10h, and who would you least want to get stuck with?

I am choosing to interpret this one as "they are still from 1842" because that makes it both fun and easier because you can flabbergast them into politely leaving you alone with some simple directness. Also going for show!lads, not historical figures.

Think I'll be predictable and go for Goodsir because a) he seems curious enough that we could have a fun 5 hour conversation, b) I would feel comfortable enough sleeping the remaining 5 stuck in a room with him (and ending the conversation to do so can be achieved by either politeness or by social-blunder-embarrassing him into silence), c) he would not try some inadvisable bs to get out by himself (looking at you Fitzjames) or become uncomfortably frustrated/angry (looking at you Crozier) d) if you get bored you can pick at his belief systems a little and see what happens. Would Harry Goodsir judge me for doing my own laundry? I could find out.

Other honorable mentions:

Little, simply because I like to watch him suffer.

Collins, who is the only one of the bunch whom I think could actually get us out.

Bridgens. Seems like a nice guy. Could give him wikipedia to read.

People who I would NOT want to be stuck with:

Hickey. I don't even think we would not get along or anything but he'd want to pass the time sucking and fucking, and I am just not into him.

Jopson. First he gets frantic, then we'd get talking and I am neither equipped for the baggage he might unpack nor for the effort it would take to hold back on explaining to him what a daddy kink is.

Franklin. He'd be like "God will see us through this :))" and I would be mildly annoyed for the entire 10 hours. If I have to piss in a bottle he'd be offended. What can I do?? I'm well hydrated, damn it!
