pls give me the jekyll and hyde ramblings i crave them with every inch of my body. (also henlo how are you doing)

So first straight off there are two recordings of the musical, the first and most common one it seems is the earlier version from 1994, before the broadway rewrite. Its subtitle is "the gothic musical thriller: the complete work" which is just an amazing subtitle for anything. Its also surprisingly long, all 35 songs clocking in at about 2 hours in total.
The broadway version and its recording are interesting. The recording has 31 songs over an hour and fifteen minutes, and is actually missing 3 songs. whats more is that while there are 4 reprises of "facade" on the soundtrack, most productions cut 3 of them.
Although the broadway version is weird it is often easier to understand. Like how it changed jekyll's fiance's name from lisa to emma or how it changed the casting of emma and lucy so that their duets weren't soprano on soprano and lucy was much more clear.
Anyway if you wanted au uhhh,,,,, m and m-but-cooler and 'confrontation' from the complete work. the idea of fighting with the image you've created of yourself is very cool
