You also have a Strollonso selkie au? Nice!
YES!!!! gonna be a sentimental blob for a minute and just say that selkie stories have a really special place in my heart. there's an irish move, the secret of roan inish, which was filmed where my family is from and a few family members were involved in the production, and that's a story about selkie, so very special to me.
as for the au, there's a song 'The Maiden and the Selkie' in which (roughly) a selkie lord has fallen in love with a woman who lives on the coast and comes ashore to ask her to marry him, but she can't survive at sea and he can't survive on land so they go ask her gran if she knows any loopholes. and she does! her mother (great granny) was a selkie herself and buried her fur coat at the foot of a tree when she married her human love. so the woman digs up the coat and two hightail it back to the ocean just in time for him not to die and she puts on the coat, becomes a selkie herself and they're happily married.
now i have a few issues with the logic/magic going on here but the premise i love, so it'd be that kind of a thing. Nando as the seal lord, Lance as the unknowing descendant of a selkie living on land but always drawn to the sea. they meet during his roaming along the coast, fall in love, and are trying to make it work when Lance catches wind of the tales about his great gran and starts plotting. and eventually there'd be a happy ending of them marrying and ruling their little selkie kingdom together
