Ivory is one of the most important parts of Vestigium, so it's important I try to inform you about it immediately.
Vestigium is a worldbuilding project I've been working on for several years. The basic and essential premise is that humans used to live on what we now know as Venus and have since left, leaving artifacts behind that small creatures known as Catechumen try to understand.
The catechumen themselves are a broad category of several species of small mammals including humbunnies, mice, stoats and others who have the same physiological capacity for speech... essentially, a catechumen is any creature that can produce the same phonemes.
Vestigium as a worldbuilding project follows the history of the setting from when the first sun rises on the giant disk that is the solar system, to the changing of the world and humans arriving on Earth. The story of Vestigium, however, follows a small team of archaeologists uncovering the hidden secrets of the human species.

I discovered the long tou in shui (water) long tou (tap) was dragon head this whole time…
and that the reason i kept failing my 觉 (jiao) flashcard and saying jue is because it’s both…
and that i’ve never really given much thought to the fact that 的得地 are three distinct words….
also i’ve never used 将 in my life and it kept coming up very frequently and i was very confused until i saw the dictionary entry “used the same way 把 is” and then everything made sense…
also woshi (bedroom) has been bathroom in my head since forever rip
and i’m starting to suspect i have something against recognising words pronounced jue eg 快决… 经绝… 觉… note to self: 决定 决心 绝对 绝不 觉得 感觉

I’ve had the pleco app for so many years and only just looked closely at the basic paid bundle. And omg it included a document reader?!?!? (lets you click words in a file or in-app web browser to see pleco entry)
