I’m off of the clock, don’t ask me OR pay me for my time if you want me to answer questions! 💅🏼 People can be so selfish sometimes not thinking of how mentally draining this field can be and even off of the clock, they unintentionally harass you. Why 😭🤣

Client: “Our dog chewed on their stitches!”

Me: *gives them E-collar*

Client: “Our dog was doing so good with the cone on they weren’t chewing on the stitches at all so we took the cone off and now they’ve chewed the stitches out!”

Plot twist - your dog has parvovirus.

Client: “I don’t understand why we need to keep her on this medicine she’s doing better now.”

She’s doing better now because she’s ON THE MEDICATION!!!!!!!!! This is not a condition we are going to cure we can only manage it, I’ve told you this I don’t know how many times.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a veterinarian actually eat lunch.

I don’t care that you had to get new brakes on two of your cars, payment is due at time of service, the clinic has bills to pay too. If you can’t afford the basics for your animal then don’t have an animal. It’s not fair to make your financial problems our problem on a simple vaccination visit, it’d be different if it was an emergency but you made this appointment weeks ago knowing you would need to have money for it. So now we have to hope you actually keep up your end cause it’s not like we can unvaccinate your cat, we can’t unexamine them, you’ve taken up time and inventory and you did it knowing you couldn’t pay for it, you came in here intending to stiff us on the bill, you should have just canceled.

It’s do whatever you want day today I guess, we’ve had 1 no show surgery, 1 person who didn’t show and then called to reschedule for later, 1 person 30 minutes late to their appointment, 1 person an hour late, and another person who showed up 2 hours after their appointment time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TWO HOURS!!!

I’m gonna lose it!!!!

Client: “oh we decided not to come cause he’s doing a lot better, but he is still having one problem, what do you think could be the reason for that?”

…. I don’t know maybe you should have come to your scheduled appointment so we could figure it out!!!!!!
