Someone had posted a picture of her on 9gag and I was sickened by the disgusting and hateful comments majority of the people had left.
Lots called her "repulsive."
Others said she was "disgusting."
Few went on to say that "though she was ugly, she'll get a lot of sympathy votes because it isn't her fault she was born ugly and repulsive."
One person even said "if she didn't have a white ring around her mouth she'd be bearable."
I understand that 9gag is filled with pretentious, trolling, little shits but these comments are coming from the same people who whine about social acceptance, not being liked, supposed advocates against suicide, being social outcasts, standing up for what's right and ect....
Yet the moment they get to turn and judge someone else they do it . I understand people are attracted to whatever they like, but to be cruel and unnecessary is pointless.
I don't particularly like ANTM because they feed into what social beauty standards should be and they unfortunately do use models like Chantelle as a marketing scheme to appear to be diverse and accepting but this young woman is one of the strongest people out there.
She's stunningly gorgeous and was an outcast because she has vetiligo or white patches on her skin. PATCHES ON HER SKIN is what made her a target for discrimination. Her story shows you how fucked up we can be. She has a body most girls would kill for, a face some dream about and a killer personality but because of her skin she's "repulsive" all of that shouldn't matter?! That's utter shit!
Everyone isn't accepting and some do have the utter most fucked up views but I hope others positivity and open mindedness can enlighten these fools and help this screwed society we live in evolve.
Besides, she's slaying the fashion/modeling industry and is doing more with her life than those haters could ever imagine.
I just had to rant!
