DETAILS - SLEEVES
“The details are not the details. They make the design” - Charles Eames
This week I want to talk about details. I do love basic and classic items of clothing but with some sort of interesting details. It could be an embellished collar, a colorful zipper, gorgeous embroidery or lace, or even a sleeve shape. Sleeves are getting a lot of attention this year and the feminine flutter sleeve is a look I was willing to try. I found this super cute bell-sleeve dress by Vetta Capsule and I just loved the shape of it, and after researching a bit about the company I knew this was a dress for me.
Vetta creates mini capsule wardrobes made up of five versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched to create a month's worth of outfits. You can buy the entire capsule or shop individual pieces to start building your dream wardrobe. The versatile designs can be worn multiple ways, and everything mixes + matches. They're committed to environmentally friendly fabrics and responsible factories. The clothing is made in a family run factory in NYC and the fabric is either deadstock or sustainable. Even their packaging (boxes, poly bags, tissue paper, and inserts) are made from 100% recycled materials. In addition to sustainable fabrics, the buttons and elastic they use are made in the USA or headstock.
Detail-oriented #madeinUSA outfit details: the “Bell Sleeve” dress in black diamond print by Vetta; patterned black tights by Spanx from RueLaLa; black t-strap Mary Jane “Alexa” shoes by Alice Alan; chevron earrings by Dogeared; burgundy felt hat from Kangol/Bollman hat collaboration
