Rosie is doing such an amazing job hunting that she's gotten together the energy to put out a flower stalk! >:}}} It's still growing, but I can't wait to see how it turns out. Venus fly traps tend to make really tall flower stalks, so as to attract pollinators without risking them getting eaten. Most people who have kept fly traps for a while actually cut the flower stalks so as to save the plant's energy for growing new traps come spring, but I've never seen a VFT flower in person, so I'm letting her bloom!
I also have a matching pot to the one that Rosie is in, because there were two designs when I found them and they're both perfect for VFTs (they are fairly tall pots for their relative width, and fly traps like having long, deep root systems) and I've officially made some totally responsible financial decisions and ordered a Rehder Giant #1 fly trap which I will name Alastor.
After enough time in the sun, it will be a fully red plant with extra large traps. >:}
