louis saying "meow" 😭😭
this is the most heartbreaking passage i've seen.
all these vampires saying "come to me. come to me." how about you get a job in this godforsaken century. get away from my window.
my favorite armandaniel dynamic is when daniel call out on armand's bullshit, while armand just sit at the corner simmering with anger and pride. like yeah, read me like a fucking book. let's see how far you can go with this one.
one of my favorite scene from this show is louis' photographic collection.
it's just so. heartbreaking and messy.
armand wants to make louis happy as much as he can, that he slip in photographs that were not taken by louis so other people can praise him. daniel wants louis to be appreciated for his hardwork that he ended up complimenting a picture that was not taken by louis. there's just something so lonely and poetic about that scene. it's like. louis is sorrounded by people who is willing to hear his voice, but after all these time? they still can't see him. they still dance around and dodge his vulnerability. still trying to keep him "safe". but like- it's not really a bad thing!!! they want to make him happy. but it just feel so alone in the sense that they tiptoe around him.
i keep losing braincells everytime i checked rdr2 comment section on tiktok. it's like those fanboys really got nothing going on in that head other than air.
people are saying the way armand looks at daniel during the loumand divorce scene is him being fascinated by the old man, and all i could say is NO. that is the face of a man who realized he has been bested by a mere mortal. an INSIGNIFICANT one at that. that's the look of shocked and fear, and also "i will throw you out of this tower but i will not because for some fucking reason you mean SOOOO much to louis." let these two play a little cat and mouse game. there's hatred as much as pining and adoration between these two.
if the showrunners are smart they would have continue with the muslim armand storyline instead of brushing it off under the carpet. there's a lot of material they can use to convey his struggle with his belief, and how he try to connect with it. his view on mortality and death, align perfectly with islamic theology; a peace, and a way out where you can rest. not to mention that alienating feeling as most of us queer muslim feel, where you try your best to fit into the mold but feel like your existence is, wrong.
