Nr. 10 - Mew
Mew is a great Danish rock band. They started back in 1995 and released their first album "A Triumph For Man" in 1997. Since then have the band achieved a lot of success. They reached a lot of people in Denmark and they became very successful outside of the Danish borders. In 2000 Mew released their second album "Half The World Is Watching Me" including the single "Am I Wry? No" and that album was a big part of the success. Mew then released their third album "Frengers" in 2003, their fourth "And The Glass Handed Kites" in 2005 and their fifth album with a spectacular title "No more Stories/Are Told Today/I'm Sorry/They Washed Away/No More Stories/The World is grey/I'm Tired/Let's Wash Away". Three album which most Mew fans have heard and three albums which were a massive success.
Mew is known for their visual live performances and Jonas Bjerre's shrill voice. Jonas Bjerre is also a part of the band Apparatjik where he's also lead singer. Apparatjik have members from Coldplay and A-ha and they are also known for their crazy live performances.
The song "Repeaterbeater" was their second single of the album "No More Stories...". It is one of my favorites. The music starts after about 2 minutes in the video for those who cant wait. For those who have a patience, see the full video and enjoy a great piece of music.
