This is a collaborative effort between Vice Beats and Gardna. If you weren't already aware, the electronic music scene tends to see a large portion of its greatest innovation, experimentation, and cultural development in the UK. A number of popular bass music subgenres developed there including the ever-misunderstood, but quintessential future sound, dubstep. Taking it a step back and developing on the original dub scene, Vice Beats revitalizes a sound which began with humble roots in this chop-heavy hip-hop collaboration with Gardna.

I love good chops, and Vice Beats' scratch-work in this track is just incredible. Gardna's accented vocals synchronize perfectly with the flow of Vice's technique to create a chilled out yet simultaneously energizing slice of UK hip-hop. On their own, these artists actually have somewhat differing styles from what's presented in this track. It seems to me like this piece was a little experimental for them as well, but they pulled it off with aplomb.

Vice Beats and Gardna both have a decent amount of free material that can be accessed from their soundclouds. This track is one of several up for free download.

Great Disco influenced remix of an equally good Hip-Hop tune. The 'post-dubstep' chords carry the track nicely, as Gardna laces the tune with his ode to playing vinyl records with a girl and comparing her to various elements of a track.
