OMG @littleglassbunny so these two are a match made in heaven, but like I’m sure that you already know that given that you sent this ask! <3

Calculester and Vicky are the pinnacle of try-hard over achievers. While their classmates are out doing nefarious things and consuming illegal substances, they are studying or working on one of their many extra-curriculars.
They are driven together by the fact that they are both officers for their school’s NHS (National Honor Society)-- Vicky was elected president (she was the only one who ran) and Calculester is the secretary (also the only one who ran). Since most people only join to boost their resume, typically only 5 or 6 people ever come to their meetings, so they spend most of the time planning little charity projects that they can pull off on their own. They’ve done canned food drives, played cards with the elderly, made care packages for unhoused folks, collected blankets for orphan kittens, you name it. As a result of all these projects they have a lot of time together either driving or doing menial tasks. They get into the deepest talks without even trying.
Both of them are alarmed at the state of the world, but whenever one of them starts to feel hopeless about things, the other always reminds them that that is why they must continue doing the relatively small acts of goodness.
Vicky is also deeply involved with robotics, so she understands technology thoroughly, but never makes it weird around Calculester.
It takes SO LONG for either of them to make a move. I mean like three YEARS of high school before Vicky finally gets up the nerve to ask Les to prom. She does it in a super cute way, hiding the note in a book that she lent him.
He says yes, returning the note in another book, but he immediately turns into a bundle of nerves even though he and Vicky have been friends forever. Suddenly his voice shakes around her, or he will just stare blankly, panicking at the thought that such a beautiful, genuine being is interested in him.
The day of prom, Les spends several hours agonizing over what to wear. It gets so bad that at one point he calls Liam over to help him choose an outfit.
He’s picked out the perfect corsage for her – it’s made of hydrangea and cornflower to match her eyes. He places it in new water often so it won't wilt.
He nearly starts malfunctioning as he goes to knock on the door to her parents’ house, but he steadies himself and knocks very softly. It’s almost like she was waiting on the other side for him, because she opens right away.
She can’t stop herself from squealing as she jumps up into his arms. (He is baffled and can barely process what’s going on but he’s delirious with happiness).
She runs her hand down his cheeks and mutters “Calm down, Les, it’s just me, not the Queen of England.” But her giggles just make her even cuter, which makes him freeze even more.
She squeezes his hand as they walk together into the night. “It’s okay, you can take your time, Les. We’ve got all night”, she whispers with a wink
