Victorian London
Ah, Victorian London, a place of technology and squalor, of progress, and a form of civilized barbarism. A place of high class nobles... and ruthless backstreet brawling. A place where people of all walks of life found themselves, and a place where all manner of cultures could be found. Indeed, there is much to be found here in London.
Ah, Victorian London, a place of technology and squalor, of progress, and a form of civilized barbarism. A place of high class nobles... and
On a misty night, in a cemetery old,
A dark fallen angel stands tall and bold,
His wings stretched wide as he looks to the sky,
A single tear falls from his eye.
His soul once pure, his heart once light,
Now shrouded in darkness, an endless night,
He stands alone, with nothing to lose,
His wings beaten down, his spirit abused.
The graves around him, silent and still,
Damp earth and cold stone, a ghostly chill,
The angel turns, his eyes scanning each plot,
Remembering all that he has lost.
The stars above him, a flicker of hope,
A memory of light, a way to cope,
But darkness surrounds him, a heavy weight,
The angel knows not his ultimate fate.
A fallen angel, cast out from the sky,
A punishment for his sins he cannot deny,
But in this cemetery, he finds a home,
A place to rest, where he's not alone.
Though dark and brooding his spirit may be,
There is beauty in his pain, for all to see,
And though he may never fly again,
The cemetery embrace is a place to begin.

“When one is in love, one always begins by deceiving one's self, and one always ends by deceiving others. That is what the world calls a romance.”
