everything went...i don’t even have words

i walked up to them with my hands covering my mouth and they had arms wide open to give FULL HUGS

they weren’t the typical awkward, half hugs they use to give- no their arms went all the way around me

they asked if i wanted my little pride flag signed and i said yes but while that’s happening, can i just talk to them rather than taking pictures

the camera person said that’s fine but i had to be quick

i handed them the flag and began to babble (and i mean babble like someone that was nervous because they were under arrest or something)

i started off telling them just how insanely proud of them i was

i told dan that it was very clear just how much hardwork went into his 45 minute video, that the shifting light gradients that formed a rainbow by the end of it was genius, and that i felt honored to meet him on the one month anniversary of “basically i’m coming out”

he said, “it’s been a month already? wow time flies by...like it did during my break” *laughter*

i told phil that him literally coming out of a closet and saying, “i’m gay” was comedic gold and he said, “that bit was almost my coming out video”

i started to wrap things up by saying thank you for everything and that they could never imagine how much they’ve done/continue to do for us

i told them that since their coming out videos, i’ve made sure to be nothing but my authentic self and am no longer afraid to wear my bisexual label around despite the christian part of my family not being accepting

dan gave me ANOTHER big hug then and after letting go said, “it’s not easy, but it does get better”

it took everything in me not to bust into tears right then and there

i gave phil one last hug (the theory still stands true: he doesn’t let go if you don’t) and they handed me back my mini pride flag

i then proceeded to walk away and the tears came

this seems long as fuck but in reality, it happened like a minute and i might have said things more simplified than this, but it’s exactly what happened

i fucking love dan and phil more than anything in this world
