PSA About NFT Videos/Audios

Just because theatres have been closed the past few months, that does not mean that we as a community can disregard NFT dates and rules. Sure, someone may want to see Six on Broadway, Presley Ryan as Lydia Deetz, or Jordan Fisher as Evan Hansen, but that does not mean the should. Those who have purchased it, even if they feel like it is their “duty” to share these videos with the community because of the shutdown, do not have that right.

I have said it before, and I can’t believe I have to say it again: Your actions are hurting the community more than you know.

There are already effects being felt due to the acts of certain individuals, as unreleased stuff being held by their filmers due to the inevitability that the product will be leaked. You guys want to see the next replacement cast in Mean Girls? Well, seeing how you’re driving away all of the filmers and have leaked every single NFT Mean Girls video in some capacity, it isn’t likely to be released.

Really, it’s ridiculous.

Your actions have consequences. I wish people would consider the repercussions of their actions before going through with posting that link to something they know is NFT because they hate the system or want to feel like a messiah or something of the sort.

This isn’t directed at everyone viewing/sending out the videos (and audios). I understand some people spreading this stuff genuinely do not know what they’re watching or handing out is NFT. I do not hold a grudge against those people. The people I am upset with are those who know this stuff is still not supposed to be traded/gifted/sold until the NFT date, but do it anyway.

Also, the people selling these NFT videos? Also absolutely wild to me. Especially when they’re selling for more than the master charges. Imagine thinking you have the right to sell someone else’s video for $30, when they only charged $20 and it’s leaked everywhere else anyway. Those people are a special breed.

getting into trading takes time and effort, not just begging on tumblr

gosh guys, traders “gatekeep” the community so leaks dont happen. you love videos? audios? screencaps? show content? RESPECT US. if not, masters will stop filming and recording shows, then you get NO content at all.

if we dont gift people audios/videos, that doesnt make us horrible people. yall shouldnt yell at us that theatre should be accessable. i live in asia guys. i am the poster child for the theatre-should-be-accessable-so-im-entitled, but im not. i got into trading and learned the etiquette so i could obtain content, but be respectful at the same time.

you can do it too. grow up and learn some manners.
