Spent this morning reflecting on and weeping over the absolute inspiration that is Vincent Van Gogh. I went to Beyond Van Gogh yesterday and it was absolutely breathtaking. Then a friend sent me that Doctor Who scene (you know, the one where Van Gogh travels through time and discovers how world-renown he became and Bill Nighy said "Pain is easy to portray, but to use your passion and pain to portray the ecstasy and joy and magnificence of our world..."). I feel opened, held, re-invigorated.
