Tour Philippe-le-Bel - Villeneuve-lès-Avignon

Donjon d'une forteresse édifiée au 13e s., par le roi de France, au débouché du célèbre pont d'Avignon dont elle contrôlait l'accès.

Elle se compose de trois étages aux belles salles voûtées d’ogives. Au 15e s., on lui ajouta une tour de guet. Au rez-de-chaussée : expositions temporaires d'arts plastiques (en accès libre).

Au premier étage : restitution de la Tour et du Pont au Moyen-Age.

Du sommet : panorama exceptionnel sur Villeneuve lez Avignon, Avignon et la Vallée du Rhône.
