Pride Month Headcanons

- Once during pride month, Dani nearly freaked out Charlie because he thought she was in big trouble, but she was actually just far too nervous to come out.

- Charlie creates a very loving environment within the home. He doesn't fully understand everything, but he also is work partners with an alien robot, so sexuality and gender is the extreme least of his worries.

- Kade is a trans man and straight (I ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING TO BACK THIS UP, REFER TO THE EARLY-WEEN EPISODE, YKWIM)

- Dani is prolly bi, ngl, and cis. She feels like the human version of Nautica.

- Graham gives off aroace to me, straight and cis otherwise, but he definitely is curious about experimenting with gender somehow. Maybe he feels a certain way about Ryan Gosling.

- Cody? Prolly just an ally. I don't think he gives off anything really, specifically when he's older in the end of the series. Granted, he is still a kid, so I wouldn't give him anything anyway unless it was obvious.

- Charlie is just an ally, and he is very happy that they are happy n' his kids found themselves.

- The bots (cough-Heatwave and Chase-cough) have no idea, nor do they care about most of this. They just watch and go "cool". Maybe Blades learns from watching human films, gets confused, but Boulder would explain to him. He would probably get frustrated by those "it isn't natural" people because he out of anyone would know it most definitely is.

- Boulder gets very excited when seeing male calicos, male tortoiseshells, or female orange cats. Same goes for other mammals with gender specific characteristics, like manes on lionesses or intersex cardinals. He finds it fascinating.

- Quickshadow is relatively disconnected from her touchy-feely-feelings, so when she meets another femme (cough-Arcee-cough) and feels an odd way--almost the same way she feels for Heatwave--she gets confused and pulls Dani aside to ask her about it. "The Day A Robot Learned She Has Choices" or something.

- Blades thinks it's cute that humans have so many things they can choose from, most definitely watches queer shows and cried at "I Saw The TV Glow"

- Quickshadow definitely keeps it to herself, but she does find it enjoyable when she gets to go undercover as a mech. She also enjoys being a femme though...and sometimes she enjoys being mysterious......Yeah, she keeps that to herself.

I'm back with more ideas and headcanons

This is on the Burns themselves this time because I read my own fanfiction to bed yesterday and I got to marinate in it this time.

- Chief is very protective over his kids, specifically after what happened with his partner. He gets anxious and paranoid whenever one of them is ill, and hovers constantly when allergy season hits.

- Dani prides herself in looking like her mother. She thinks it's a good thing and constantly works on bettering herself simply to live up to whatever expectations her mother had set for Dani before her passing.

- Despite Dani looking the most like her, all the kids resemble their mother in each way. Dani simply looks and acts like her the most, while Cody has her face and eyes, Kade has her ambition and kindness, and Graham has her critical thinking and horrid eyesight.

- Despite what may have been thought, each kid had a different personality when younger. They rather switched their personalities once she passed. Kade used to be more responsible and caring, but Dani took that on later. Graham was ready to adventure and curious about other people, but Cody swapped with him. Dani used to be rowdy and loud like Kade, but they switched, and Cody used to be rather shy and almost a "crybaby".

- Charlie did his best to avoid letting the kids parent each other. He got babysitters and looked after them himself to the best of his abilities, so very little responsibility over the younger ones ever fell on the oldest's shoulders.

Quickshadow Headcanons

- either really cold resistant or not cold resistant at all, no inbetween

- sleeps with her eyes open

- she only ever sleeps if everyone else is silent and asleep

- she doesn't do it often, but when she and Heatwave get the chance to rest with eachother, she tends to prefer it. He's warm and she's cold, it just works.

-she keeps Heatwave in his place a lot, but not in a 'I'm better than you' way. They're on the same level, she just doesn't want his helm in the clouds.

Hmmmm lazy QS ideas

QS has identity issues that she hides behind her personality/mask and that's why she is a spy to begin with

She thinks being a spy is a good excuse to hide her internalized homophobia because she doesn't WANT to be a mech or ambiguous, it's just for work

She also has attachment issues, mostly due to not being treated well before, it's one of those situations where she let it bother her enough that she ran away to be a spy

That isn't to say Quickshadow doesn't work on herself, she does, and she recognizes she has an issue, she just can't accept help. She's working on that too, but every time she does, it goes wrong or bad in multiple ways, so she gives up each time

The rescue bots crew is aware of this, she tried getting help before and tried reaching out, but she struggled with it far too much and ended up shutting down from it
