I found an old notebook of math art I did based on Vihart's videos:
Lots of stars
manually drawn cardioids and a surprisingly good apollonian gasket
and a trio of panels based off stained glass imagery

Vihart
Vihart has a Tom Scott number of 1.
Plush hexaflexagon I found at the mall! I had a hexaflexagon obsession when I was a preteen so I had to document this
Vihart privated nearly all of her videos and I’m distraught. I shared the hexaflexagon video with a friend in December 2024 so within the past few months she privated them. Does anyone have them saved anywhere I will be so sad if her stuff becomes lost media.
Edit: Someone in the notes has mentioned they’re on Vimeo now!
Noooo...I just found out that ViHart set all but one of her videos to private. This is the first time I've ever celebrated Pi Day without being able to listen to her pi song. I'm genuinely so sad :(
I don't even know if anyone else on this website knows who I'm talking about, but here's one of her videos that was archived. It's my favorite of hers, and I'm relieved that it survived, but her music wasn't archived and that's devastating to me. It never even occurred to me to do it myself. She was so important to me when I was a girl.
Well...happy Pi Day everybody, and please let me know if you somehow have a copy of ViHart's old videos that didn't make it to the internet archive.
Remembering ViHart with infinity many spooky triangles.
I wish I was 12/13 again watching vihart's doodling in math class for the first time
I don’t even believe in magic and yet as soon as I finished vihart’s new video I was already making a moon spoon. It’s fun and cute and I’m glad I did it tbh
